Mira Sorvino est un ajout particulièrement intéressant au casting de Stalker dans le rôle de Vicki Gregg. Elle a apporté quelque chose en plus dans cet épisode que j'ai déjà hâte de retrouver dans les épisodes suivants. Jack et Janice de leur côté continue de rester des personnages un peu secondaires car ils ne sont que spectateur de l'histoire de Beth et ne sont pas vraiment inclus dedans (sauf grâce au fait qu'ils sont professionnellement parlant tous dans la même équipe). Finalement, cette série démontre avec cet épisode qu'elle n'a pas perdu la main et qu'elle est plus que jamais prête à nous surprendre encore et encore au fil des épisodes. Stalker n'a peut-être pas été le gros succès de l'année mais elle l'aurait bien plus mérité que bien d'autres séries lancées. Note: 6. 5/10. En bref, un retour efficace.
Not that it matters. It's a dope and bombastic premise. Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds presents a sometimes harrowing, sometimes whimsical take on life and death. It hones in on the fate of firefighter Kim Ja-hong (Tae-Hyun Cha), who led a blameless, virtuous life and is thus accorded the honorific of "paragon. " As such, the three celestial guardians assigned with defending him in the trials over forty-nine days are become giddy. They think the guy's a shoe-in for reincarnation. But if that's so, this wouldn't be much of a movie. Turns out, it's not as clean cut as the three guardians had assumed. There are questionable things in the firefighter's past that end up muddying the trials. As these moments develop, we're invited to mull over the nature of perception versus reality, the manifold hues of virture, and of rushing to judgment, and what it means to lead a good life. So, yeah, those who step into this expecting an unremitting action-packed motion picture, it's not so. It's a more contemplative movie than that.
